Job Description

The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith-based organization, has a job opening for a part-time Custodian/Janitor at the Kroc Center in Augusta, GA.

Job Summary: Cleans and maintains the buildings and grounds to ensure cleanliness and neatness on a daily basis.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to perform general maintenance and cleaning activities for buildings and grounds.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Ability to read and communicate in English.

Education and Experience:

No formal education or experience required; six (6) months of experience in general housekeeping duties or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Licenses and Certifications:

None required.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Ability to meet attendance requirements; exert physical energy required for housekeeping and minor maintenance; perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and climbing. Work is performed in a normal indoor environment with some exposure to outdoor temperatures, dirt, dust, and disagreeable sights and odors.
