Position Purpose:

Hospital Services Technicians travel between healthcare facilities to provide on-site collection and exchange of waste containers for programs such as Sharps Management, Pharmaceutical Waste, Controlled Substances, and Document Management, on a scheduled basis.

Key Job Activities:

• Travel between healthcare facilities to monitor, collect, and exchange waste containers for various programs.
• Interact professionally with onsite staff to ensure service expectations are met or exceeded.
• Maintain a strict collection and service schedule.
• Communicate duty status on a defined schedule.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position requires extensive lifting, walking, bending, and pushing. Must lift up to 55 pounds and push/pull carts weighing up to 500 pounds.

Experience:

• 2+ years of work experience or a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication skills and customer service experience.
• May require immunizations and credentialing based on customer requirements.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
• Ability to work independently and with little supervision.
• Knowledge of computer applications, including spreadsheets and tracking software.
