Job summary

Alamo Group Inc. is seeking a custodian to maintain cleanliness, safety and order at our Selma, AL facilities. The role involves routine cleaning, sanitation, and basic tasks to support employees and operations.

Essential duties include trash/recycling removal, window and surface cleaning, supply replenishment, and adherence to safety protocols. Prior custodial experience is preferred but not required; high school diploma or GED is recommended.

Position Summary:

The Custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of company facilities. This position performs routine cleaning, sanitation, and basic tasks to ensure a clean, orderly, and safe environment for employees, visitors, and operations.

• Empty trash and recycling containers

• Clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED preferred

• Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred but not required

• Knowledge of basic cleaning techniques, equipment, and supplies

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

• Dependable with good attendance and time management skills

Working Conditions:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

• Ability to bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift up to 25–50 pounds

• Ability to perform repetitive motions

• Ability to work in environments with dust, noise, and cleaning chemicals

• Indoor facility with occasional outdoor duties

• May involve exposure to cleaning chemicals and equipment

• May require early mornings, evenings, weekends, or shift work based on operational needs
