Job Opening: Part-Time Custodian at the Center of Hope, Savannah, GA

The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith-based organization, is seeking a part-time Custodian for the Center of Hope in Savannah, GA.

Job Summary

Responsible for cleaning and maintaining the buildings and grounds to ensure they are neat and clean daily.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Perform general maintenance and cleaning activities for buildings and grounds.
• Follow instructions and work independently.
• Read and communicate effectively in English.

Education and Experience

No formal education or experience required. Six (6) months of experience in general housekeeping duties preferred. Equivalent training and experience that provide the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities are acceptable.

Licenses and Certifications

Valid State Driver’s License required.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Must meet attendance requirements. Capable of exerting physical energy for housekeeping and minor maintenance tasks, including continuous walking, stooping, standing, and climbing. Work is performed in a normal office environment with some exposure to outdoor temperatures, dirt, dust, and possibly disagreeable sights and odors.
