Facility Solutions Group is hiring a Custodian/Janitor in New York to maintain a clean, orderly building. You will perform light to heavy cleaning, including floors, windows, trash intake, and vacuuming, ensuring restroom cleanliness and proper use of cleaning chemicals.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and the ability to multitask while staying organized. Work is on-site in a typical facilities environment with standard cleaning duties and safety procedures.

• Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum hallways, stairs and office space.
• Empty trash and garbage containers.
• Replace air conditioner filters.
• Clean debris from sidewalk.
• Service, clean, or supply restrooms.
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, or mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, or squeegees.
• Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
• Requisition supplies or equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
• Dust furniture, walls, machines, or equipment.
