The State Preservation Board (SPB) was established to preserve, maintain, and restore the State Capitol and the 1857 General Land Office, which houses the Capitol Visitors Center. Its operations include care of the Governor's Mansion, the Bullock Texas State History Museum, Texas State Cemetery, Capitol Mall, and legislative office buildings. The Custodian II reports to the Housekeeping Manager with oversight from the Housekeeping and Grounds Manager. Responsibilities include performing custodial duties, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining cleanliness standards across SPB properties. Custodians handle cleaning of buildings, offices, restrooms, and other areas, requiring sound judgment and self-reliance.
