Job summary

Boyd Gaming Corporation in Louisiana is seeking a dedicated custodian to maintain cleanliness in the casino and public areas. You will operate floor care and specialty cleaning equipment, move furniture as needed, and ensure a high standard of detail and sanitation.

Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds, use ladders up to 10 feet, and work with cleaning chemicals. Equal opportunity employer; training provided to use scissor lift and high-reach tools.

Responsibilities

Job Description

• Maintain cleanliness of assigned area.
• Operate tools and equipment as trained.
• Clean assigned area as instructed.
• Move furniture, rearrange, and relocate furniture and equipment.
• Sweeps and removes all wrappers, broken glass, ashtrays, and debris from floor.
• Cleans and dusts slot machines, including areas between machines, doors, and woodwork.
• Removes scuffmarks and drink spills.
• Maintain the highest standards to ensure the detail quality and cleanliness in the casino, public areas, offices, restrooms, and other required areas.
• Operate various professional floor care and specialty cleaning equipment.
• Contains and cleans biohazardous materials.
• Follow safety procedures and use of PPE.
• Report to supervisor any maintenance issues in work areas and equipment.
• Perform other job-related duties as requested.
• Must be able to use ladders up to 10 feet.
• Must be able to push, pull, and lift up to 100 pounds on a regular basis.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement is 21.
• Ability to interact with others in a friendly, positive, and courteous manner.
• Able to tolerate chemicals, cleansers and solvents.
• Experience with professional cleaning equipment.
• Certification to operate scissor lift and high boom preferred.
• Knowledge of various floor surfaces and the processes.
• Operate High Dusting specialty equipment.
• Operate necessary equipment such as backpack vacuum, scissor lift, high boom, power washer, etc.
