Job summary

The Utah State Hospital in Provo, Utah is seeking an entry-level Custodian to perform routine cleaning, laundry, and maintenance in a full-time, Monday-Friday schedule (7:00am-3:30pm).

Qualifications

• Familiar with basic housekeeping practices, techniques, and procedures.
• Physically able to meet the demands of the position, including walking, standing, lifting, bending.

• Comfortable using cleaning chemicals, tools and equipment.
• Able to closely follow written or oral instructions and willingly accept training and feedback.
• Diligent, reliable and trustworthy.
• Detail oriented when completing cleaning duties.

Responsibilities

• Sorts soiled linens, washing, drying, folding, and restocking clean linens on a daily basis.
• Cleans and maintains floors, dusts, waxes, and polishes furniture, washes windows, mirrors, and other glass or plastic items, empties trash and garbage, etc.
• Maintains building(s) and/or facilities in a clean and orderly condition and/or removes snow from sidewalks and doorways, etc.
• Cleans, sterilizes, and or disinfects areas and/or equipment.
• Sets up and arranges tables and chairs.

Custodians at USH are responsible for routine cleaning, laundry, and maintenance of our beautiful facility. This position is full-time, (Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm)

We are also offering

• The bonus will be paid in installment payments leading up to your 12 month mark for new full time employees.*

Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities and day to day responsibilities of this position:

• Sorts soiled linens, washing, drying, folding, and re-stocking clean linens on a daily basis.
• Cleans and maintains floors, dusts, waxes, and polishes furniture, washes windows, mirrors, and other glass or plastic items, empties trash and garbage, etc.
• Maintains building(s) and/or facilities in a clean and orderly condition and/or removes snow from sidewalks and doorways, etc.
• Cleans, sterilizes, and or disinfects areas and/or equipment.
• Sets up and arranges tables and chairs.
