Job summary

Jabil is seeking a diligent custodian to perform cleaning and custodial care of buildings and work areas at our Memphis site. You will operate power equipment, scrub floors, clean restrooms, and replenish supplies while adhering to safety rules and security procedures.

This role supports a clean, safe environment for all employees and visitors. Responsibilities include notifying supervisors of issues, following established procedures, and performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to present information to managers and clients.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to operate a personal computer including Windows-based systems.
• Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil’s software packages.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Read and understand visual aids.
• Ability to follow simple one- or two-step instructions.
• Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions, memos, and short correspondence.
• Ability to perform basic math and interpret data.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned plant and office areas using floor sweepers and vacuums.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean assigned areas in plant and office, using power equipment such as floor sweepers, polishers, and vacuum cleaners.
• Scrub or mop floors.
• Clean office partitions, windows, drinking fountains, washrooms, toilets, and lavatories.
• Replenish supplies.
• Remove refuse.
• Notify group leader or supervisor of any problems within their area.
• Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
• Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
