Job summary

Essential tasks include cleaning restrooms, floors, windows, and common areas, as well as lifting heavy loads and using cleaning equipment. A high school diploma and one year of general work experience are required; a California driver’s license is needed on hire.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to graduation from the twelfth grade.
• One year of general work experience; custodial work preferred.
• Knowledge of modern cleaning methods, equipment, and materials.
• Ability to lift 100 pounds and carry 50 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license and eligibility to obtain California driver’s license upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Plan and organize custodial work and assign tasks.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms and common areas.
• Vacuum, mop, and scrub floors; operate cleaning machinery.
• Clean, dust, and polish furniture, walls, and fixtures.
• Report safety hazards and secure buildings when appropriate.
