Job summary

City of Pasadena, TX is seeking a custodian to perform general custodial work inside and outside facilities, including floor and building maintenance, shelving duties and various cleaning tasks. Daily duties include trash removal, restroom and kitchen cleaning, vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning windows, with weekly and monthly tasks as described above.

The position requires the ability to obtain and maintain necessary licenses, certifications, and/or job requirements, and offers generous benefits

Qualifications

• Duties require custodial work and general maintenance.
• No advanced technical skills required beyond basic cleaning tasks.

Responsibilities

• Daily: Remove trash, clean restrooms and kitchen, vacuum, dust and polish tables and shelves, clean phones, windows and doors visible to the public, empty book drop, shelve materials, assist with donated material disposition.
• Weekly: Sweep, mop and vacuum; shelve books and clean wall areas; clean windows and doors outside daily schedule; dust computer equipment; turn in supply list for replenishment.
• Monthly: Heavy floor cleaning, carpet soil treatment; complete special projects; follow city timekeeping and attendance policies.

Education

Less than high school / up to 1 month related experience or training
