The City of Amarillo is seeking a dedicated custodian to perform general custodial duties including floor care, sweeping, dusting, mopping, restroom cleaning, and glass cleaning to maintain a clean, safe facility. The role requires working evenings, weekends, some holidays, and during inclement weather; it is weather essential personnel.
Starting pay is $15.00 per hour, with a schedule from 5:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. and potential for continued city benefits as defined by policy.

This position performs general custodial duties such as floor care, sweeping, dusting, mopping, glass cleaning, restroom cleaning, and all other building care as assigned. The primary purpose of this position is to maintain an acceptable level of cleanliness for the building. This position will be required to work shifts including evenings, weekends, some holidays, and during inclement weather. This position is considered weather essential personnel.
High School Diploma/GED is preferred. Valid Texas Driver’s License and reliable transportation is preferred or must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
