Iowa State University Athletics Department is seeking a full-time Custodian I to join our facilities team. You will perform general cleaning, restock supplies, and ensure welcoming, high-quality facilities for guests and student-athletes. Shift is Monday–Friday, 4:00 a.m.
to 12:30 p.m., with occasional evening events and football games. The role requires reliability, independent work, and courteous service.
As essential contributors to the guest experience and the behind-the-scenes operations that keep Cyclone Athletics running smoothly, our custodial team plays a vital role in maintaining welcoming, high-quality facilities.
The Iowa State University Athletics Department is seeking applicants for a full-time Custodian I to join our facilities team in providing outstanding cleaning services that contribute to a positive guest and student‑athlete experience. The successful candidates will be detail and quality focused, reliable, able to communicate well, able to work independently to get the job done right, and courteous to patrons, students, and coworkers.
Our full-time custodians are eligible for ISU’s comprehensive benefits package which begins on your first day of work, including healthcare, dental, retirement, paid time off, etc.
Monday-Friday, 4:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Additionally, this position must be available to work at all home football games and other occasional events such as concerts.
This position will work across multiple Athletics Department facilities as needed (initial building assignments will likely be Sukup Basketball Complex, Southeast End Zone and Cyclone Sports Complex).
The position involves occasional use of a ladder and/or working on stairways to clean surfaces that involves heights, extended periods working on your feet on hard surfaces, and the ability to occasionally work in outside weather conditions for assigned facilities or events.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship. Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position.
