New Jersey City University is seeking a dedicated maintenance worker to perform cleaning and upkeep tasks across campus facilities. Responsibilities include cleaning offices, classrooms, and other areas, plus ensuring materials are available and reporting maintenance issues. Under the direction of a Crew Supervisor or other supervisor in a state department, institution, or agency, the employee may be assigned to work with mechanics, carpenters, electricians, painters, plumbers, and steamfitters to clean and maintain offices, furniture, buildings, grounds, and perform repairs. The role involves related work as required.
New Residency Law: Effective September 1, 2011, all employees of State and Local Government must reside in New Jersey unless exempted. Existing employees not residing in New Jersey are not required to move; new employees must reside in New Jersey within one year of employment or face potential removal.
