Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America is seeking a facilities cleaner in Texas to maintain the office building and manufacturing areas. The role includes cleaning and maintenance inside and outside the facility, with attention to sanitation and safety policies.

Responsibilities include restroom sanitation, inventory of cleaning supplies, and supporting office setups as needed. Adherence to DFA GMP and safety procedures is required; all duties are performed in a safe, sanitary manner with other tasks assigned

Qualifications

• Moderate physical effort required.
• Inside and outside plant work.
• Adherence to safety rules.
• Routine, light manual cleaning with equipment.

Responsibilities

• Remove all refuse from the interior of the plant and deposit in containers outside of the plant.
• Use chemicals to sanitize and clean facility.
• Maintain all restrooms in a sanitary manner throughout the plant.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of exterior of plant.
• Assist with office equipment moves and meeting set-ups as needed or requested. Use proper lifting techniques when moving furniture and large pieces to avoid injury.
• Clean windows, vents, fixtures, walkways and steps daily. Handle unscheduled duties as requested.
• Maintains accurate inventory and replenishes cleaning supplies and paper products in break room and restrooms.
• Adhere to all DFA Food Safety and Quality policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity
• Adhere to all DFA Safety policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity
• Adhere to all DFA GMP policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity
• Performs duties in safe manner and reports all safety concerns.
• Keep self and equipment in a sanitary fashion
• Other duties as assigned by management

Required Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience

Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Moderate physical effort is required.

• Work involves inside and outside of plant.
• Adherence to Department and company safety rules.
• Performs routine, light manual work in cleaning offices, halls and restrooms using equipment such as floor sweepers, polishers, vacuum cleaners, and dusters.
• Follow all Dairy Farmers of America GMP’s and work in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory quality and sanitation requirements.
