Job summary

DFA seeks a General Cleaner to maintain the cleanliness of the facility, inside and outside, in Wisconsin. You will perform cleaning duties and assist with general maintenance to support smooth operations.

This role requires attention to safety and sanitation standards in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include removing refuse, sanitizing with chemicals, keeping restrooms sanitary, restocking supplies, and helping with office setup tasks.

• Moderate physical effort required.
• Inside and outside work at plant.
• Follow safety rules and DFA GMP policies.

Responsibilities

• Remove all refuse from the interior of the plant and deposit in containers outside of the plant.
• Use chemicals to sanitize and clean facility.
• Maintain all restrooms in a sanitary manner throughout the plant.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of exterior of plant.
• Assist with office equipment moves and meeting set-ups as needed or requested.
• Clean windows, vents, fixtures, walkways and steps daily.
• Maintains accurate inventory and replenishes cleaning supplies and paper products.
• Adhere to all DFA Safety policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity
• Adhere to all DFA GMP policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity
• Performs duties in safe manner and reports all safety concerns.
• Keep self and equipment in a sanitary fashion.
• Other duties as assigned by management

General Purpose

Maintains office building and manufacturing area in clean and orderly condition. Perform cleaning and building maintenance duties both inside and outside of the facility.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Remove all refuse from the interior of the plant and deposit in containers outside of the plant.
• Use chemicals to sanitize and clean facility.
• Maintain all restrooms in a sanitary manner throughout the plant.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of exterior of plant.
• Assist with office equipment moves and meeting set-ups as needed or requested. Use proper lifting techniques when moving furniture and large pieces to avoid injury.
• Clean windows, vents, fixtures, walkways and steps daily. Handle unscheduled duties as requested.
• Maintains accurate inventory and replenishes cleaning supplies and paper products in break room and restrooms.
• Adhere to all DFA Food Safety and Quality policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity
• Adhere to all DFA Safety policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity
• Adhere to all DFA GMP policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity
• Performs duties in safe manner and reports all safety concerns.
• Keep self and equipment in a sanitary fashion
• Other duties as assigned by management

Required Minimum Qualifications

Education and Experience

Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Moderate physical effort is required.

• Work involves inside and outside of plant.
• Adherence to Department and company safety rules.
• Performs routine, light manual work in cleaning offices, halls and restrooms using equipment such as floor sweepers, polishers, vacuum cleaners, and dusters.
• Follow all Dairy Farmers of America GMP’s and work in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory quality and sanitation requirements.
