Job summary

The Orinda Union School District is seeking a dependable Custodian & Groundskeeper to help maintain clean, safe, sanitary, and attractive school facilities and grounds.

This position performs a variety of custodial and grounds maintenance duties, including cleaning and caring for classrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas; maintaining landscaped areas, athletic fields, lawns, and irrigation systems; operating custodial and grounds equipment; and assisting with general maintenance and site

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year of prior related experience in school or institutional settings is preferred.
• Valid Driver's License is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean, safe, sanitary, and attractive school facilities and grounds.
• Clean classrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas.

This position performs a variety of custodial and grounds maintenance duties, including cleaning and caring for classrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas; maintaining landscaped areas, athletic fields, lawns, and irrigation systems; operating custodial and grounds equipment; and assisting with general maintenance and site needs. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, safety-conscious, able to work independently, and takes pride in maintaining welcoming and well-kept school environments for students, staff, and the community.
