Job summary

CMHA-CEI in Lansing, MI is seeking a reliable janitorial professional to perform cleaning and basic maintenance duties at its facilities. The role reports to the Head Custodian and involves following directions to ensure a safe, clean environment for clients and staff.

The position offers evenings Monday-Friday, from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM, with pay between $15.58 and $17.45 per hour, plus potential shift differentials and weekend premiums as described in the posting.

Qualifications

• Must be physically able to perform repetitive lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to operate janitorial equipment (floor scrubbers, vacuum cleaners, etc.).
• May be required to have access to reliable transportation for job-related use.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, takes day-to-day direction from Head Custodian while performing janitorial tasks at CMHA-CEI facilities.
• Responsible for cleaning and minor maintenance activities in accordance with CMHA-CEI policies and procedures.
• Performs duties to support the organization’s mission and operations.

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of a Property and Facilities Coordinator or Supervisor, takes day to day direction from the Head Custodian while performing Janitorial functions that include cleaning and minor maintenance tasks at Community Mental Health Authority of Clinton, Eaton and Ingham counties’ owned/contracted facilities. Responsible for carrying out all activities of the program/subunit in such a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI’s mission, policies and procedures.

Requirements

Must be physically able to perform repetitive lifting up to 50 pounds. Must be physically able to operate a variety of Janitorial equipment(floor scrubbers, vacuum cleaners, etc.). May be required to have access to reliable means of transportation for job related use.

Conditional Employment Requirements

Employment offers for this position will be contingent upon the results of a Michigan State Police Clearance check. Must be able to pass pre-employment 5-panel drug screen. Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical.

Salary/Hours

$15.58-17.45 per hour. Mondays – Fridays 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM.

• + $1.25/hour for hours worked 5pm – 12am
• + $2/hour for hours worked 12am – 8am
• + $3/hour for weekends worked Friday 5pm – Monday 8am
