Job summary

A school district is seeking a full-time Custodian for the 2nd shift to maintain a clean and conducive environment for teaching and learning. Job Title: Custodian – Anticipated Full-Time/2nd Shift (3:00 pm – 11:00 pm)

Reports To: Supervisor of Custodians, Building Custodial Coordinator, and Building Principal

Job Purpose: To maintain and clean school buildings that provide staff and students with an environment conducive for teaching and learning.

Qualifications - Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Black Seal Boiler License
• Ability to speak and understand English
• Excellent work ethic
• Ability to follow directions
• Ability to work alone or with others
• Ability to pass the required Criminal History Review
• Able to submit the Sexual Misconduct/Child Abuse Disclosure Form
• Able to pass pre-employment physical exam

• Experience working in a school district

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Performs tasks as directed by the BCF and/or Supervisor of Custodians
• Completes tasks within the provided timeframe
• Works in assigned area as directed
• Collaborates with others as directed
• Follows all cleaning instructions provided by BCF and/or Supervisor of Custodians

Working Conditions:

• School Building
• 12-Month, Full-Time
• Shift: 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm
• Salary to be determined by EHTEA Negotiations
• Shift Differential after 6:00 pm

• Able to raise arms overhead to clean
• Able to climb ladders

• Able to work with school-approved cleaning fluids
