Responsibilities

As a Custodian at Canyon Ranch, you will create the sparkling clean environment our guests have come to expect. During evenings and on the overnight shift, you and your co-workers will work to ensure that all areas used during the day are returned to pristine condition. This includes cleaning locker rooms, restrooms, all public areas, and staff areas. Do you have an eye for detail? This may be just the job for you.

• General Area Cleaning: Follows a scheduled checklist for cleaning assigned areas to Canyon Ranch’s high standards of cleanliness. In assigned areas, empty trash, dust window sills, chair rails, heaters, vents, pictures, light globes, and baseboards. Sweeps and mops all inlaid flooring, tile floors, walls, including steam rooms, and indoor pool deck. Vacuums all carpeted areas and spot cleans baseboards and walls. Washes glass doors and cleans door hardware.
• Bath and Locker Room Maintenance: Cleans and disinfects bathroom mirrors, countertops, sinks, and toilets. Replenishes paper products, soap, hand lotion, and sanitary products. Replaces cleaning chemicals in dispensers when needed.
• Functions: Sets up and breaks down function rooms.

Qualifications

• Availability: This is a full-time position. Must have flexible availability to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical: Able to complete physical tasks involving pushing, pulling, lifting, and bending. Ability to lift 20 lbs throughout the shift.
• Requirements: Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
• Experience: Successful candidates will have at least one year of custodial experience, preferably in a hotel/resort environment.
• Environment: Many tasks are repetitive and require consistent outcomes. Our guests count on us to be perfect every day, so we expect you to be reliable and ready to work as per your schedule.
