Job summary

Nashville Wire Products, an established local manufacturer of steel wire products for the material handling industry, is seeking an experienced Custodian for 3rd shift at our Frankfort, KY location. Base hours are Sunday-Thursday, 8:00 pm–6:30 am. Training on 1st shift for about 2 weeks prior to moving to 3rd shift.

Start rates: $19.50/hour, $20.75 at 90 days, $22.50 at 1 year; 3rd shift differential of $1.00/hour. Overtime often available with double-time incentive.

Qualifications

• Recent steady work history performing facilities maintenance or housekeeping with minimal supervision.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand long periods in a non-air conditioned area.

Responsibilities

• Clean/maintain restrooms, lunchrooms, office areas and manufacturing areas.
• Trash removal, dusting, sweeping, mopping, window cleaning.
• Organize work areas and track cleaning supplies inventory.

Job description

Nashville Wire Products, an established local manufacturer of steel wire products for the material handling industry, is growing and accepting resumes for an experienced Custodian on 3rd shift at our Frankfort, Kentucky location.

Full time benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance availability first of month after 30 days of service, 40 hours vacation after 6 months of service, 80 hours vacation after 1 year of service, 10 hours of paid sick time every 90 days of service until you have completed 1 year of service, then 30 hours of paid sick time annually, 401k with 100% match up to 4% following 1 year of service, 9 paid holidays, employer paid short and long term disability, and 1 year pay progression top out and we are currently offering a double time for all overtime hours worked incentive.

Base Hours are Sunday - Thursday 8:00 pm until 6:30 am. This position will train on 1st shift for approximately 2 weeks prior to moving to 3rd.

Base start rate $19.50/hour, $20.75/hour at 90 days, and $22.50/hour at 1 year from full-time hire. Rates do not include $1.00/hour 3rd shift differential

This position is scheduled 50 hours most weeks and we are currently offering a double time for all overtime hours worked incentive.

This position ensures our facilities are kept clean and in orderly condition. This position regularly cleans/maintains restrooms, lunchrooms, office areas and manufacturing areas within our facility. Job duties include, but are not limited to, trash removal, dusting, sweeping, mopping, window cleaning, organization of work areas, and tracking inventory of cleaning supplies. Applicants should have a recent steady work history performing facilities maintenance and housekeeping responsibilities while working with minimal supervision.

During a 10 hour shift this position regularly performs heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) bending and stooping. This position requires standing on concrete floors for long periods of time, and may be subject to extreme temperatures as plant production areas are not air conditioned. Excellent attendance and punctuality are required. Successful applicants must pass drug screen, and 7-year background check for misdemeanors and felonies.
