Job summary

Triad Service Solutions is seeking a Custodian (Exterior Retail/Outlets) to help keep outdoor shopping center areas clean, safe, and welcoming for shoppers and staff. The role involves working across indoor and outdoor spaces, with hands-on cleaning throughout the property.

Experience is a plus but not required; training is provided. This position is part of a flexible shift lineup across full-time and part-time availability at an outdoor outlet setting.

Qualifications

• Previous janitorial or custodial experience is a plus, but not required.
• No specific education or prior training required.
• Dependable and punctual with consistent attendance.

• Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors.
• Follows safety procedures and properly uses cleaning equipment, chemicals, and materials.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain outdoor common areas, including sidewalks, walkways, breezeways, entrances, seating areas, and other assigned spaces
• Sweep and remove litter, debris, leaves, and other materials from common areas
• Pick up litter throughout the property and help maintain the overall appearance of the shopping center
• Clean benches, tables, chairs, and other public seating areas
• Empty interior and exterior trash receptacles, replace liners, and transport waste to designated disposal areas
• Clean and sanitize public restrooms and maintain cleanliness throughout the shift
• Replenish restroom supplies, including soap, hand sanitizer, toilet paper, paper towels, and other necessary supplies
• Sweep, mop, scrub, and maintain floors in assigned interior areas
• Clean glass doors, windows, panels, sills, and other glass surfaces
• Dust and clean furniture, fixtures, equipment, ledges, trim, and other surfaces
• Clean and polish metalwork and common-area fixtures
• Clean walls, doors, and other surfaces as needed
• Clean and sanitize high-touch surfaces
• Respond promptly to spills, trash, debris, and other cleaning needs
• Monitor assigned areas and address cleaning needs throughout the shift
• Properly use and care for cleaning equipment, chemicals, materials, and supplies
• Transport cleaning equipment and supplies throughout the property as needed
• Follow established safety, security, and cleaning procedures
• Report hazards, maintenance concerns, or unsafe conditions to management
• Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

This is an active, physically demanding position. Employees may be required to:

• Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the work shift
• Frequently bend, stoop, squat, reach, and perform repetitive movements
• Push and pull cleaning carts, trash containers, and cleaning equipment
• Lift, carry, move, and position items weighing up to 40 pounds
• Use hands and arms to operate cleaning tools and equipment
• Navigate stairs and varying indoor and outdoor walking surfaces
• Walk and work across outdoor areas for extended periods
• Perform cleaning tasks requiring frequent movement and physical activity throughout the shift

This position is performed throughout an outdoor outlet shopping center and involves working in both indoor and outdoor public areas.

Employees may also be exposed to cleaning chemicals, fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical equipment, wet or slippery surfaces, and other conditions associated with commercial janitorial work.
