Job summary

Grand Rapids Building Services Inc is seeking a dependable night custodian in the Haslett area serving East Lansing schools. You will come to work consistently, follow GRBS processes, communicate respectfully, and complete tasks according to the building map and shift requirements.

Available shifts include 5:00 pm–9:00 pm, 5:00 pm–10:00 pm, 5:00 pm–10:30 pm, 6:00 pm–8:00 pm, and 6:00 pm–10:00 pm. Tasks include mopping, dusting, restroom cleaning, trash removal, and other cleaning duties.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older with valid ID and possess the following traits.
• Team player, dependable, self-motivated, reliable transportation to and from work each day.
• Note: Michigan public schools requirements exclude individuals with theft, violence or drug-related backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Come to work consistently.
• Follow GRBS Process.
• Have mindful communication with respect to all.
• Finish the job to the building map and shift.

We have the following day custodian opportunities available in Haslett

• Monday - Friday and working 1 weekend a month
  • 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm
  • 5:00 pm - 10:00 pm
  • 5:00 pm - 10:30 pm
  • 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
  • 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm
• Core Responsibilities:
  • Come to work consistently

Pay Rate: $16.50 /hour

What does this job look like:

We serve our public school customers by completing the following tasks:

• Mopping
• Dusting
• Cleaning restrooms
• Removing trash
• As well as other cleaning task as assigned
