Job Summary
This is an 8 hour/day position. The Night Lead Custodian ensures a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students and staff while providing vital evening leadership.
- Motivates custodians to deliver a clean and safe environment for teachers, students, and staff.
- Collaborates with Buildings and Grounds leadership and building principals to identify priorities.
- Adjusts to the needs of supervisors and principals to meet cleaning objectives.
- Monitors equipment and supplies to avoid delays in service delivery.
- Collaborates with other custodial team members to provide support.
- Assists with set-up and take-down of school activities.
- Performs routine and project cleaning of assigned areas.
- Keeps sidewalks and other outdoor walkways clear of snow and ice.
- Performs other duties and assumes other responsibilities as assigned or as needed.
Qualifications
- Certified Pool Operator license required (or ability to obtain).
- Appropriate boiler license required (or ability to obtain).
- Focus on details and commitment to doing a good job.
- Experience cleaning in a commercial setting preferred.
- Ability to get along with district employees and be courteous and helpful with students and the general public.
- Ability to stand and/or walk, twist, bend, stoop, squat, and/or climb stairs.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to work in a variety of conditions and environments (dusty, wet, cold, hot, high humidity, noisy, indoors, outdoors, at heights, and in small spaces).
Compensation and Benefits
Hourly Wage: $22.56-$25.07
