Job summary

Argonne National Laboratory is seeking a Custodian to perform cleaning and sanitation duties for the facility. Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, disposing of waste, and maintaining washroom facilities to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.

The ideal candidate will possess good communication skills, a demonstrated work record, and the ability to comply with all safety policies. This position offers a pay rate of $20.93/hr with a schedule of Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, and the potential for permanent placement.

Qualifications

• One year of custodial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, and buff floors.
• Dispose of waste paper and trash.
• Wash and sanitize washroom facilities.
• Clean windows, sills, and mirrors.
• Operate and clean industrial cleaning equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of staff canteen and lunchrooms.
• Change light bulbs and clean at heights.
• Remove dirt and snow from entrances.
