Job summary

Parkway Schools is seeking a dedicated day shift Custodian at Bellerive Elementary to maintain a clean, safe learning environment. The role runs 12 months, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with starting pay of $17.50 per hour and increases based on verifiable experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, healthy, and safe environment including floors, bathrooms, trash, and moving equipment as needed.
• Vacuuming, wet mopping, dusting, and general custodial duties; manage floor surfaces and stocking bathrooms.

Position: 12 Months 8 Hours

Status: Non-Exempt

Open: 6/9/2026

Closing Date: 9/2/2026

Hours: 6:00 am to 2:30 pm

Starting Pay: $17.50 per hour (and up based on verifiable experience)

Essential Job Functions

Perform a variety of custodial functions that will maintain a clean, healthy, and safe work environment including maintaining floors; vacuuming, wet mopping, cleaning, and stocking bathrooms; extracting of various floor surfaces; emptying and disposing of trash, dusting, mopping; and moving furniture/miscellaneous equipment as needed.

• Proven stable employment history, excellent attendance record and motivation to consistently perform quality work
• Willingness to follow written, verbal and demonstrated instructions
• Excellent interpersonal skills to work harmoniously with teachers and staff
• Demonstrated customer service orientation
• Mobility to move in and around the school to perform work assignments; able to lift up to 50 pounds; and able to climb ladders up to 8 feet
• Able to understand and communicate in English for basic job-related duties and response for safety
