Job summary

FirstService Residential in Florida is hiring a Janitor to perform cleaning and maintenance across indoor/outdoor areas of the community. The role requires attention to safety, reporting to a Supervisor, and routine inspections of assigned spaces.

The position supports a Tuesday–Saturday schedule, with pay at $19 per hour, and offers a full-time benefits package. Previous custodial experience and strong customer service are valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Custodial experience preferred.
• Multilingual abilities desirable.
• Strong customer service and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning/maintenance duties: sweeping, mopping, shampooing, dusting, polishing, trash disposal, window cleaning.
• Informs Supervisor of needed supplies.
• Maintains cleaning solutions per OSHA guidelines for hazardous chemicals.
• Removes trash and assists in emergency cleaning.
• Uses new equipment safely and follows safety procedures.
• Maintains sanitary supplies for assigned areas.
• Inspects areas daily and reports discrepancies to Supervisor.
• Ensures security procedures are followed at all times.
• Completes daily work orders as scheduled.
• Drives cleanliness in restrooms: floors, dispensers, toilets, urinals, mirrors, counters, trash.
