Job summary

Melwood seeks a Custodian to perform cleaning tasks to meet contract specs under supervision of the Lead Worker & Custodial Foreman. The role requires completing a background check, drug screening, and ability to obtain a government security clearance.

Qualifications

• Requires 3–6 months training or experience.
• Must pass security clearance for designated contracts.
• Must provide medical proof of a disability.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and mop hallways, stairs and offices.
• Empty wastebaskets and dispose trash in prescribed manner.
• Dust horizontal surfaces.
• Empty and wash ashtrays.
• Clean bathrooms.
• Wax and buff floors.
• Polish fixtures and windows.
• Clean walls and other vertical surfaces.
• Sweep and clear snow from outside steps and sidewalks.
• Notify supervisor when supplies and equipment are needed to perform tasks.
• All other duties assigned by Custodial Foreman.
