Pay Range

This range is provided by Goodwill Central Texas. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Base pay range

$14.00/hr - $14.00/hr

Position Summary

Custodians play a vital role in maintaining clean, safe, and well-kept facilities. They work collaboratively with Custodial Team Leads to deliver high-quality cleaning services.

Compensation

Depending on experience and specific site contract.

Hours

Monday through Friday; 11:30 AM - 7:30 PM

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Clean restrooms, floors, fixtures, and surfaces using appropriate cleaning tools and disinfectants.
  • Spot clean doors, walls, windows, and surfaces.
  • Restock supplies and empty trash.
  • Vacuum, shampoo carpets, sweep, mop, and perform waxing and buffing as specified.
  • Follow safety rules and regulations.
  • Mix chemical solutions safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and represent the organization professionally.
  • Participate in meetings and adhere to work schedules.
  • Meet yearly training requirements and demonstrate ethical standards.
Other Duties
  • Support team members and supervisors at assigned sites.
Supervisory Responsibility

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Required Qualifications
  • One to three months of cleaning or custodial training or experience.
  • Ability to lift fifty pounds with or without accommodation.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Depending on the site, documentation of a disability may be required.
  • Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • One year of custodial experience in federal or commercial cleaning.
  • Ability to operate buffing machines.
