Job summary

The Salvation Army in Mobile, AL is seeking a part-time housekeeping attendant for 4:00 PM close? schedule from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, 25 hours per week, with benefits.

Responsibilities include cleaning bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, washing linens for the shelter, and assisting in meeting room setups. Driving duties may be required for item pickup or passenger transport.

Qualifications

• No formal education or experience required.
• Six months of experience performing general housekeeping duties or an equivalent combination.
• Education level: Some High School

This position is responsible for:

Key Responsibilities:

• Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms. Sweeps, vacuums, mops, and waxes floors. Empties trash cans regularly and collects trash from the grounds
• Washes, folds, and stores linens for emergency shelter dorm. Stocks and sorts janitorial supplies
• Assists in setting up meeting rooms with tables and chairs. May drive Salvation Army vehicle to pickup/deliver items or transport passengers

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

• Work is performed in a normal office environment with some exposure to outdoor temperatures, dirt and dust, and/or disagreeable sights and odors
• Ability to exert the physical energy required to performing housekeeping work and perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and climbing
