Job summary

Defiance City School District is seeking a 12-month, full-time custodian to perform general cleaning and facility maintenance. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, good attendance, and the ability to lift up to 100 lbs and climb ladders for changing light bulbs and reaching high areas.

Starting date is as soon as contractually allowed. Rate of pay is per negotiated agreement.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Good attendance is essential and will be reviewed before any transfer
• Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and work well with students, staff, and parents
• Good physical health
• Ability to do general institutional cleaning
• Physical ability to lift 100 lbs of supplies, equipment, and furniture
• Ability to climb a ladder to change light bulbs and clean high areas
• Other duties as assigned
• Experience preferred
