South Louisiana Community College at Opelousas Campus seeks a Custodian 2 to maintain cleanliness across facilities. The role requires at least six months in custodial work and the ability to follow established cleaning schedules and safety protocols.

It involves performing routine cleaning, restocking supplies, and coordinating deep cleaning tasks as part of the Facilities Team. The incumbent should be prepared to handle floor maintenance, use of industrial equipment, and be ready to contribute

Formación

• Six months of custodial/housekeeping/groundskeeping/food service experience.
• Ability to follow cleaning schedules and safety procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Clean and sanitize restroom and bathroom areas using established practices and procedures.
• Ensure all floors are swept, vacuumed, mopped, and maintained per Master Cleaning Schedule.
• Refill restroom dispensers to ensure adequate paper products.
• Perform specialized floor maintenance with industry-grade machinery.
• Act as primary contact for janitorial supply inventory needs.
• Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual deep cleaning tasks as scheduled.

The Custodian 2 is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and custodial upkeep of all assigned spaces by the Facilities Department management.

Minimum Qualifications

Six months of experience in custodial, housekeeping, groundskeeping, or food service work.

Job Duties and Other Information

• Clean and sanitize restroom and bathroom areas using established practices and procedures.
• Ensure all floors are swept, vacuumed, mopped, and maintained in accordance with the Master Cleaning Schedule and as assigned.
• Refill all restroom dispensers to ensure an adequate supply of paper products as assigned.
• Performs specialized floor maintenance and upkeep utilizing established protocols and industrial-grade machinery.
• Acts as the primary point of contact for the notification of janitorial supply inventory needs.
• Complete all monthly, quarterly, and annual deep cleaning tasks identified in the Master Cleaning Schedule and as assigned.

Work Location: This position is domiciled on the Opelousas Campus.
