Job summary

Cromwell Public Schools is seeking a School Custodian I for Edna C. Stevens to maintain the daily cleaning of a facility and provide for periodic operation during the Building Maintainer’s absence, including cleanliness, safety, systems equipment, and direction of visiting public. This position is based at Edna C.

Stevens and starts ASAP. The role offers a 40-hour work week with an evening shift 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM during the school year; summer hours shift to a day schedule.

Job description

Cromwell Public Schools is looking for a School Custodian I for Edna C. Stevensto maintain the daily cleaning of a facility as assigned. To provide, if assigned, for the periodic operation of a facility during the absence of the Building Maintainer, involving but not limited to the building's cleanliness, structural safety, systems equipment, product delivery and direction of visiting public.

Responsibilities: Performs general cleaning and maintenance in school building and grounds; Provides cleaning and custodial assistance to students, teachers, visitors and others as necessary; Performs related duties and general maintenance work. Compensation: $24.15 per hour. Position works 40 hours per week (hours during the school year are 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM, during summer months hours change to day shift).
