Position Description

Provides a safe and properly maintained building to enhance the learning environment for all District stakeholders.

Qualifications
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
Preferred Experience

One year experience as a custodian is preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure building cleanliness and safety.
  • Coordinate with staff and administration on facilities issues.
  • Assist with snow removal and set-up for events.
  • Perform minor repairs and report unsafe conditions.
  • Manage custodial supplies and equipment.
  • Maintain security and monitor building access.
  • Complete work orders and document activities.
  • Move furniture, paint, and handle trash/recycling.
  • Follow procedures outlined in the Building Information Book.
  • Perform traffic control as needed.
  • Assist other operations staff as required.
Skills and Abilities
  • Proficient with email, scheduling systems, and Microsoft Office/Google Docs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and make sound decisions.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

Physical Demands
  • Ability to handle up to 50 lbs., stoop, climb, and reach.
  • Work may involve exposure to disagreeable elements.
Terms of Employment
  • Part-time, non-exempt union position.
  • Work hours: 8 hours per weekend (Saturday or Sunday).
  • Salary: $17.49/hr, with potential additional earnings based on skills.
