Job summary

Saint Mary Home is seeking a part-time Custodian to maintain a clean, safe environment for residents, visitors, and staff. This per diem role has no guaranteed hours and requires dedicated attention to cleanliness across resident rooms, common areas, and grounds.

Responsibilities include following safety and infection control guidelines, operating housekeeping equipment, and collaborating with team while communicating effectively with residents and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Ability to operate and maintain housekeeping equipment safely and effectively.
• Physical stamina to walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and lift (up to 60 lbs) frequently.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment.
• Good communication skills and ability to interact courteously with residents, staff, and visitors.
• Flexibility to handle multiple responsibilities and respond to changing priorities.
• Knowledge of safety procedures, infection control practices, and proper use of cleaning chemicals.

The Custodian ensures a clean and safe environment for residents, visitors, and staff by performing a variety of housekeeping and maintenance duties.
