Job summary

Cheer Pack North America in West Bridgewater, MA is seeking a dedicated custodial associate to maintain cleanliness of production and break areas, perform routine cleaning tasks, and restock supplies across the facility.

You will follow safety and GMP practices, operate cleaning equipment safely, lift heavy objects, and work with minimal supervision while ensuring a safe, orderly environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform general custodial duties: dusting, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, and restocking paper and soap supplies
• Perform routine maintenance to custodial equipment and supplies
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly
• Ensure common areas such as break rooms and kitchenettes are cleaned and stocked
• Follow instructions about chemical use and safety hazards in the workplace
• Wash and buff floors including the manufacturing facility
• Ensure cleaning materials are stored safely and orderly
• Maintain, restock, and submit purchase requisitions for cleaning supplies
• Note the need for equipment repair
• Report food safety or quality concerns to the plant manager or quality personnel
• Follow GMPs and company policies and procedures
• Maintain product safety, legality, regulatory compliance, and quality systems

Job description

Essential functions and responsibilities:

• Performs general, routine custodial duties, to include dusting, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, and restocking paper and soap supplies
• Performs routine maintenance to custodial equipment and supplies
• Empties trash receptacles, hazard bins into a hazard barrel, disposes trash into compactors and/or dumpsters, and bags trash for proper disposal
• Ensure common areas such as break rooms, lobbies, and kitchenettes are cleaned and stocked
• Maintain breakroom
• Follow instructions about chemical use and safety hazards in the workplace
• Wash and buff floors including the manufacturing facility
• Ensure cleaning materials and supplies are stored safely and orderly
• Maintain, submit a purchase requisition, and restock cleaning materials and supplies
• Make note of the need for equipment repair
• Report any potential food safety, quality or food defense concerns to the plant manager or quality personnel
• Maintain product safety, legality, regulatory compliance, and quality systems

Physical demands and work environment:

• Considerable physical activity. Requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 50 pounds. Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of job.
• Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risk, which require following basic safety precautions. Employee may also be required to wear safety glasses and/or safety gloves.
• Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. May be exposed to high noise levels that required hearing protection.
