The Archdiocese of St. Louis is seeking a dependable Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, families, and visitors at our parish and school facilities.

This role requires physical stamina, the ability to work evenings or weekends as needed, attention to detail, and collaboration with administration to support our mission and values.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain parish and school facilities after scheduled events
• Sweep and mop floors in classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas
• Clean and sanitize restrooms
• Clean glass doors, windows, and other surfaces as needed
• Dust furniture, fixtures, and other surfaces
• Empty trash and replace liners
• Ensure facilities are returned to a clean and orderly condition after use
• Assist with snow removal across parish and school grounds as needed, including walkways and entrances
• Report maintenance or safety concerns to appropriate parish or school personnel

This position plays an important role in supporting the mission of the Catholic school by ensuring that classrooms, common areas, restrooms, offices, and other school facilities are maintained to a high standard.

Job Requirements

• Ability to work evenings and/or weekends on an as-needed basis
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and operating cleaning equipment
• Willingness and ability to assist with snow removal as needed
• Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions
• Dependable, punctual, and respectful of parish property
