Job summary

Salary Range: $20.00 To $23.00 Hourly

Coastal Medical Transportation Systems is seeking a Custodian for our Quincy base! Under the direct supervision of the Facilities Manager, the Custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and general upkeep of the facility. This position performs routine cleaning and janitorial duties, assists with minor repairs and general maintenance, and ensures cleaning and maintenance supplies are properly stocked. This is a full-time, on-site position.

Key Responsibilities

Perform general cleaning and janitorial duties throughout common areas of the facility.

Clean, disinfect, and sanitize restrooms.

Maintain clean and orderly floors by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and performing other floor-care duties as needed.

Empty and properly dispose of trash and recycling from designated areas.

Monitor and maintain adequate inventory of cleaning and maintenance supplies.

Assist with minor building repairs and general maintenance as needed.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Follow established safety procedures when handling cleaning products, equipment, and maintenance materials.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

3–5 years of experience in janitorial maintenance, custodial services, building maintenance, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.

Knowledge of general maintenance methods, operating requirements, and applicable safety precautions.

Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks efficiently.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this position:

Ability to walk at least ¼ mile without difficulty.

Ability to walk up and down stairs without difficulty.

Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.

Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 125 pounds.

Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, reach, push, pull, and grasp in a variety of circumstances and positions.

Ability to safely perform the physical tasks associated with cleaning, maintenance, and facility upkeep.

The pay range for this position is $20/hr to $23/hr based on experience and qualifications.
