Job summary

Nimble is hiring a custodial staff member to maintain clean and safe facilities in Parker City, Indiana. The role involves daily cleaning tasks, equipment handling, and ensuring secure premises after shifts.

Ideal candidates will follow safety guidelines, use PPE appropriately, and report supply needs to the supervisor. This position is onsite with standard custodial responsibilities and a focus on cleanliness and safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning of classrooms, hallways, and common areas.
• Empty and sanitize wastebaskets and dispose of refuse properly.
• Clean seating and table surfaces as needed.
• Sweep and mop floors on a daily basis.
• Clean glass surfaces, drinking fountains, sinks, and bowls as assigned.
• Sanitize restrooms regularly according to schedule.
• Move and relocate furniture and equipment as required.
• Ensure doors and windows are secured in assigned areas.
• Maintain clean custodial storage areas and report supply needs.
• Follow PPE and MSDS guidance and company safety policies.

Job description

Job Duties include but not limited to:

• Laundry duties as needed
• Empties wastebaskets and other refuse containers and disposes of contents in appropriate manner
• Cleans seating and table surfaces as needed
• Sweep and mop daily
• Cleans glass surfaces, drinking fountains, sinks, bowls, etc., as assigned
• Cleans and sanitizes restroom areas as assigned. (typically every ½ hour)
• Moves furniture and/or equipment when assigned
• Moves and relocates supplies within building when assigned
• Closes and secures all windows and doors in assigned area
• Keep custodial storage areas clean, neat, and free from clutter and combustible materials
• Submits requests for supplies to appropriate supervisor in accordance with established practice
• Keeps issued equipment and supplies clean, neat and in useable working conditions
• Reports damaged, defective, or otherwise unusable equipment to appropriate supervisor in accordance with established practice
• Uses cleaning materials and equipment in accordance with safety standards
• Cleans assigned areas in accordance with procedures set forth in cleaning guides
• Maintains current MSDS knowledge of all cleaning materials in use
• Uses personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with MSDS standards and school corporation policies and guidelines
