Stanford University is seeking custodial staff to perform routine cleaning of floors, furniture, walls and wood-work, and to assist with light maintenance tasks.
Employees will replace lamps, manage waste in exterior areas, and may perform light labor as needed under supervision.
Sun-Thu 6:45am - 3:15pm (Fri & Sat off)
Mon-Fri 6:45am - 3:15pm (Sat & Sun off)
Tue-Sat 6:45am - 3:15pm (Sun & Mon off)
The expected pay for this position is $29.54 (Step 1) per hour. Placement in the pay range is subject to the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Internal candidate rates will be applied based on the CBA language for promotion and transfer.
This series of job classifications describes positions in which the major function is performing a variety of custodial duties, and/or overseeing others who perform custodial duties. Employees perform routine cleaning of floors, floor coverings, furniture, walls, wood-work, etc. They also carry out other facilities services, such as cleaning guest rooms and public areas, replacing lamps in light fixtures and removing trash around building exteriors, etc. In addition, they may also perform light labor and light maintenance duties.
Under the direction of a lead or supervisor, employees in this classification perform a variety of custodial duties. The supervisor and/or lead assigns the work and provides instructions; work is reviewed by the supervisor and/or lead to determine whether quality and scheduling requirements have been met.
