Job summary

The Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes are seeking a Facilities & Maintenance worker to perform custodial, grounds, and maintenance tasks across CSKT facilities. Responsibilities include keeping offices and surrounding areas clean, sanitary, and safe.

The role involves physically demanding duties, operation of specialized equipment, and adherence to safety standards while serving tribal facilities.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with no alcohol-related convictions in the last 3 years.
• Ability to obtain Commercial Driver's License if requested.
• 1–2 years' experience in cleaning with ability to obtain Professional/Commercial experience through training within 3 months.
• 1–2 years' experience in cleaning chemicals and their proper uses.
• 1–2 years' experience in the operation of specialized equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide custodial, grounds and maintenance functions in and around CSKT Facilities' offices, buildings and surrounding areas.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary and safe environment throughout assigned Tribal Facilities.
• Work to support Facilities & Maintenance Department duties.

Job description

This position is an integral part of the Facilities & Maintenance Department and consists of work to provide technical and skilled custodial, grounds and maintenance functions in and around CSKT Facilities' offices, buildings, and surrounding areas. This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary and safe environment throughout assigned Tribal Facilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must possess a valid driver's license with no alcohol related convictions for the last three (3) years.
• Must be able to obtain a Commercial Driver's License if requested.
• One (1) to two (2) years' experience in cleaning with ability to obtain Professional/Commercial experience through three (3) months of training.
• One (1) to two (2) years' experience in cleaning chemicals and their proper uses.
• One (1) to two (2) years' experience in the operation of specialized equipment.
