Job summary

Legends Global Mohegan Arena is seeking a Custodian to perform comprehensive cleaning duties across all arena areas, ensuring readiness for events and daily operations. The role requires physical stamina, a willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, and the ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities include cleaning floors, seating areas, restrooms, and common spaces, restocking supplies, and supporting other departments as needed.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

POSITION DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: Custodian

COMPANY: Legends Global DEPARTMENT: Operations FACILITY: Mohegan Arena @ Casey Plaza

REPORTS TO: Operations Manager

FLSA: Part-Time, Hourly/Non-Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY

This position performs a multitude of physical tasks for the general and specialized cleaning of all areas of the Mohegan Arena.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Cleans all areas of the Mohegan Arena including, but not limited to, floors, suites, loge boxes, lavatories, walls, windows, offices, locker rooms, dressing rooms, all seating areas, and the ramps and walkways located inside and outside the Arena
• Meets all pre-event, event, and post-event cleaning requirements
• Restocks restroom supplies as needed
• Empties all trash cans inside and outside the Arena
• Performs other tasks and assists in other departments as assigned

WORK CONTACTS

Daily and/or event day contact with Operations Manager, Operations Staff, and all other Arena Staff

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Position is often exposed to adverse conditions such as fumes, dust, noise, wet floors, etc.
• Must be clean and neat in appearance
• Must possess the ability to lift up to 40 pounds
• Must possess the ability to access all areas of the Arena, walk freely up and down steps, and stand for long periods of time
• Must possess the ability to work hours as dictated by events
• Must possess the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays, work as part of a team, and have reliable transportation
• Must possess the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
• Must pass a HireRight background check in accordance with company policy
• Must practice safe work habits, follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations, and complete any company-wide safety training and any additional job specific training
