Hawaiian Building Maintenance is seeking a part-time janitorial associate for Saturday and Sunday shifts in Mililani, HI 96789. The role pays $17.50 per hour and involves cleaning, waste disposal, and restocking supplies to maintain a high standard of cleanliness.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standard of cleanliness for assigned areas (sweep, dust, mop, vacuum, trash disposal).
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose waste appropriately.
• Restock cleaning supplies and report needs to supervisor.
• Must be able to climb onto the roof using a ladder and perform painting tasks.
• Patch potholes in the parking lot and ensure safe surface.
• Work independently and as a team; follow safety procedures.
• Uphold professionalism and customer service; communicate with supervisor and property manager.
• Notify staff about supplies/equipment and perform other duties as assigned.

Hawaiian Building Maintenance (HBM) has been providing quality service since 1957. We are one of the largest facility service providers in the State of Hawaii. We currently perform janitorial building services, mechanical engineering, HVAC and maintenance services for numerous commercial, retail and residential properties on Oahu, Kauai, Maui and the Big Island.

• Location: Oahu, HI (Mililani, HI 96789)
• Schedule: Saturday and Sunday: 5:30am to 2:00pm
• Hourly rate: $17.50
• Key responsibilities:

• Maintain high standard of cleanliness of assigned duties (sweep, dust, mop, vacuum, remove/dispose trash to designated area, clean/wipe down areas, and use of a ladder to access elevated areas)
• Empty trash receptacles, wastebaskets, recyclables and properly dispose to designated areas.
• Restock cleaning supplies
• Must have the ability to climb onto the roof using a ladder
• Painting the facility
• Patch potholes in the parking lot to ensure a safe and smooth surface for vehicles and pedestrians.
• Multi-task, work efficiently both independently and as a team
• Follow safety procedures
• Uphold a high standard of professionalism and customer service at all times
• Communicate effectively with supervisor, co-workers, vendors and property manager
• Report safety issues or building problems (i.e. burnt light bulbs, etc.)
• Notify appropriate HBM employees of the supplies and equipment that are needed for cleaning duties.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor or property management

• Skills/Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Must pass HBM prescreen check
• Previous janitorial, custodian experience or related experience is preferred, and willing to train.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English
• Must have good public relations skills and communication
• Applicants must perform basic manual labor, clean common areas, push, press, frequently lift, pull, carry a minimum of 50lbs, be able to reach overhead, grasp objects, bend, kneel, crawl, squat, climb, stretch, walk, use stairs and ladder to climb up and down and stand throughout their shifts.
