Job summary

Merrillville Community School Corporation in Indiana is seeking an evening Custodian to perform cleaning and maintenance across school facilities, including restrooms, classrooms, offices, halls, locker rooms and grounds areas during the 3:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m. shift.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders, and the ability to operate grounds equipment. A Custodian test with at least 75% is required before the posting closes.

Qualifications

• Must pass Custodian test with a minimum score of 75% prior to the closing of this posting.

Responsibilities

• Restroom cleaning, hall maintenance, cleaning of classrooms, offices, locker rooms.
• Outside grounds work such as operating the lawn tractor, weed eater, snow blower, snow shoveling.
• Other duties as assigned by the head custodian, Principal and/or Director of Maintenance Services.
