SBM Management Services, LP is seeking a Custodian in Mars, Pennsylvania. The Custodian will ensure cleanliness and sanitation across assigned areas, operate cleaning equipment, and comply with safety protocols. Candidates should ideally possess 3-6 months of relevant experience, strong communication skills, and knowledge of cleaning methods. The position offers an hourly wage of $16.50–$17.50, working Monday to Friday from 4:00 PM to 10:30 PM. Comprehensive benefits are also available.

Qualifications

Job Overview

The Custodian is responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of all areas assigned.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule
• Perform Hazardous Waste responsibilities including collecting, classifying, sorting, storing, shipping and receiving, labeling, cleaning, recycling, packaging of special and hazardous waste
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor
• Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures
• Stop at risk behavior of others and self
• Perform work assignments in a team with other employees
• Maintain clean work area
• Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules
• Take direction and respond to supervision
• Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner
• Fill in during staff shortage
• Support shift lead in completing punch‑list items
• Use proper personal protective equipment
• Present a professional appearance and conduct
• Understand customer service and satisfaction
• Understand reporting systems, and of the environment

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Bilingual a plus; Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents; Strong verbal and written communication skills; Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willing to share with team; Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment; Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
