American Facility Services in Marietta, GA is hiring full-time custodians for an afternoon shift from 11am to 7:30pm. The role covers opening the building, cleaning offices, lobbies, restrooms and common areas, and supporting school events.

Ideal candidates follow dress code, arrive on time, wear ID, and represent the organization professionally while maintaining high cleanliness standards. Training is provided.

• Inspect previous night’s cleaning and correct deficiencies.
• Inspect the building exterior for unauthorized entrance or vandalism.
• Clean the main entrance area, including glass, carpets/mats, floors and dusting.
• Clean offices: floors, dusting furniture and fixtures.
• Clean the media center/library: vacuuming and dusting.
• Inspect and stock restrooms with supplies.
• Unload delivery trucks and deliver boxes as needed.
• Change light bulbs as needed.
• Replace ceiling tiles as needed.
• Install pencil sharpeners and picture hangers as needed.
• Assemble and move furniture.
• Set up for school/building events as needed.
• Clean water fountains daily.
• Complete other tasks assigned by supervisor or manager.

Salary Range: $13.00 - $13.00 Hourly

Job Shift: Afternoon, FULL-TIME CUSTODIANS NEEDED

11am - 7:30pm

$13.00/hr.

Areas Serviced:

General offices, private offices, lobbies, lounges, kitchen / break rooms, coffee areas, washrooms, restrooms, stairways, corridors, computer rooms, conference rooms and mailrooms (all common areas). No security access areas unless pre-approved.

Schools include hallways and classrooms.

Essential Functions:

• Open the building each morning
• Inspect previous night’s cleaning and correct deficiencies.
• Inspect the building exterior for possible unauthorized entrance and/or vandalism.
• Clean the main entrance area to include cleaning the glass, carpet/mats, floors, and dust any furniture and fixtures.
• Clean the office to include cleaning and vacuuming floors and dusting furniture and fixtures.
• Clean the media center/library to include vacuuming and cleaning floors and dusting furniture and fixtures.
• Inspect and keep all restrooms stocked with supplies.
• Unload delivery trucks and deliver boxes as needed.
• Change light bulbs as needed.
• Replace ceiling tiles as needed.
• Install pencil sharpeners and picture hangers as needed.
• Assemble and move furniture.
• Set up for school/building events as needed.
• Clean water fountains daily.
• Other miscellaneous items as deemed necessary by the school principal, supervisor, and area manager.
• Clean technology center and gym.
• Complete any other tasks assigned by supervisor or manager.

Non-Essential Functions:

• Perform other duties as assigned

Non-Acceptable Tasks (at a school):

• Handling of money for ice cream sales
• Selling of ice cream
• Bus duty
• Handling of children
• Leaving worksite for errands
• Monitoring children during testing
• Answering school phone

Qualifications: Requirements:
