Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center at Prince Frederick is seeking a dedicated custodial/maintenance professional to keep our residential facility clean, safe and well-maintained. This role supports 24/7 operations and contributes to a five-star client experience by ensuring a comfortable environment for residents and staff.

Ideal candidates will have at least two years in custodial work, strong communication, time management, and detail orientation, plus a commitment to recovery principles.

Qualifications

• No formal education required.
• Minimum two years of related custodial/maintenance experience preferred.
• If in recovery, a minimum one-year sobriety period is required.
• Excellent communication, multitasking and time management skills.
• Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail.
• Dignified, honest character that models recovery principles.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and smooth operation of facilities.
• Perform routine custodial duties: cleaning, restocking, waste removal.
• Provide ongoing operational support to the Executive Director.
• Complete daily/weekly/monthly checklists for upkeep and readiness.
• Report activities and escalate any concerns to the Executive Director.

What You'll Do

• Maintain the cleanliness and smooth function of property and plant
• Perform routine custodial duties such as cleaning, restocking, removing garbage etc.
• Provide consistent operational support as required by the Executive Director
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly checklists to ensure cleanliness and upkeep of facility
• Report on all activities completed, escalating any concerns to the Executive Director

What We're Looking For

• No formal education required
• Minimum of two years' related experience preferred
• If in recovery, a minimum one-year period of sustained sobriety is required
• Excellent communication, multitasking, and time management skills
