Job summary

Salvation Army A Georgia Corp in Kerrville, TX is seeking a general maintenance/housekeeping team member to keep the KROC facilities clean and safe. Responsibilities include cleaning offices, restrooms, locker rooms and kitchens, handling trash, carpet cleaning, and floor stripping/waxing on a weekly basis.

No formal education is required, but six months of housekeeping experience or an equivalent combination of training is preferred.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN YOU:

We are looking for another team player who will take pride in keeping the KROC looking like new!

No formal education is needed, but six months experience performing general housekeeping duties

or

any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is preferred.

Physical requirements and working conditions:

• Ability to perform strenuous, heavy work involving the lifting and carrying of heavy objects.
• Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and some climbing.
• Ability to exert the physical energy required to perform the needed janitorial work.
• Duties are performed standing and require squatting, climbing, bending and walking. Any of the preceding duties may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of sitting.
• Extensive amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.) frequently.
