Job summary

Agri-Cover is seeking a dedicated janitorial associate to maintain clean and orderly facilities. Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and cleaning bathrooms and cafeterias daily.

You will also manage trash, recycling, window washing, minor painting, and assist with events and equipment setup. Strong reliability and basic reading skills are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 1–3 months related experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos.
• Reliable, punctual and able to follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum hallways and offices.
• Clean cafeterias and bathrooms daily.

Summary

Keeps building in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

• Sweeps, mops, scrubs, and vacuums hallways, stairs and office space.
• Cleans cafeterias and bathrooms on a daily basis.
• Empties trash and garbage containers and consolidates for weekly pickup.
• Maintains recycling program.
• Washes windows.
• Paints as necessary.
• Notifies management concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
• Assists other departments with moving furniture and unloading and storing supplies.
• Assists in the set-up and take-down of equipment/supplies for company events.
• Cleans work bicycles.
• Implements improvements.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
