Job Details

• Reports to: Store Manager/General Manager

Job Summary

The Custodian is responsible for the store’s overall cleanliness and condition. This includes maintaining and cleaning the entire store, conducting hourly walks and inspections, and properly handling all cleaning equipment. The primary focus is to ensure a clean and safe environment for customers and staff.

Essential Responsibilities

1. Properly use and maintain all cleaning equipment.
2. Complete hourly and daily cleaning logs.
3. Maintain a clean, safe, and hazard-free environment.
4. Manage trash, spills, restrooms, and the sales floor.
5. Perform cleaning duties efficiently and promptly.
6. Assist with store operations such as stocking, customer assistance, and cleaning as needed.
7. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. with 0-3 years of retail or grocery experience.
• Valid Food Handler’s Certificate.
• Strong cash handling and basic math skills.

Skills and Abilities

• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Effective communication with customers, staff, and management.

Physical and Work Environment
